6)    Safety

a)    Tristan has new safety lights!!

b)   CRI had an incredibly safe year so far, and when the fall is when colleges take risks so we must be really careful, take extra time and be patient

c)     Bottom Line: It’s just rowing… when we put ourselves or our crews at risk, we transition to putting health and life at stake (and it’s no longer about rowing).  Its just not that important… be safe, be courteous, and keep an eye out for everyone out there

d)    There are rowers and coaches who can be very rude on the water. Please don’t engage, it’s just a red hot rowing minute.  Take the temperature down – by acknowledging but not engaging.  Better to take the bullet than create a toxic river environment.

7)    What Works Summit – Getting Faster on the Water, Off the Water.
