1)    Discussion about the restructuring - Bruce

·       Currently coaching expenses are approximately $100K over projected and administrative expenses are $130K over the projected expense.  In addition, CRI did not receive a $75K grant from the state - it was vetoed by the Governor.  CRI is in a solid financial position but with expenses exceeding projections by such a wide margin, measures need to be taken to limit the long term effects

·       Many options to cut expenses were explored and reviewed. Bruce; HR Committee; Exec Committee been working on this issue since February when we got indications of expenses exceeding budget

·       The steps taken at this point maintain our focus on mission

o   Priority is to maintain programming and operational performance 

o   Priority is not to load up staff people with more work – this action increases work on Directors… not coaches or staff

o   Enables us flexibility to potentially bring in additional support staff (on a part time or full time basis as needed)

2)    New Staff Arriving daily - Ted

a)    Welcome them and help them out with launches, safety, logistics, and with the stuff you wish you knew when starting here

b)    Many if not most are CRI alumi who rowed with the youth teams

c)     You will see that we have been hearing you about training and launch operation

3)    Website update - Ted

·       Nonna and Ted met with communications committee this morning (meet monthly)

·       Working on web redesign and as part of that we want to update staff info (massive need!)

·       Please provide us with:

o   Your Name as you want it to appear on the web

o   Your CRI email address

o   2 -3 sentences each for

§  Your role at CRI

§  Your background

·       We will put something in the Launch a few times as well

4)    ADP notes – TARA

a)    Log time within 24 hours of your work

b)    Asking supervisors to approve time 2-3 times per pay period

c)     Logging at the approval deadline slows everyone down quite a bit

d)    Log all sick time and vacation time through ADP

f)      Questions see TARA

5)    Strategic Planning Presentation – Bruce

    In the coming weeks/months the board is going to ask staff some of their ideas about where they'd like to see CRI in 5 years. 

6)  Other Stuff:

 - Adam asked that people please log any oar repairs in the log and be as specific as you can.  LOTS of oars damaged but in order to fix them, he needs to know they're damaged
